Product Description

Peter Parker is a nerdy teenager who is also teased by other kids who call him various names such as "bookworm" and "whiz". He is raised by his Uncle Ben and Aunt May in Forest Hills, part of the borough of Queens, in New York. One day after school Peter asks a group of kids if they want to attend a science demonstration, but they all just begin to ridicule him as usual. The most beautiful girl in school even questions his manhood, as she snuggles up against Flash Thompson, the high school football star. Peter goes to the science demo alone, and is then bitten by a radioactive spider that wondered into the experiment. This gives Peter spider-like powers, which include: enhanced strength, enhanced reflexes, sticking to walls, and a 'Spider-Sense'. Later, after defeating wrestling champion 'Crusher Hogan', he becomes a TV star using his powers. However, he refuses to stop a thief after an argument with his employer. Later that night, his Uncle Ben is murdered by the same thief. This causes Peter to take up the mantle of Spider-Man after remembering Ben taught him, "with great power comes great responsibility".
